The people involved in F4R are residents of Rutland. Some, but by no means all, live in villages closest to the site where Rutland County Council thinks it appropriate for 2,315 houses to be built.

Yet F4R is not a group of ‘nimbies’ against all development. We support the housing strategy laid out in the Local Plan as it stood in 2017, before the Ministry of Defence put forward the St George’s Barracks site. Read our views on sustainable development.

Fight 4 Rutland has been set up as a Limited Company with a small board of directors. This is to allow F4R to accept donations from individuals and organisations on a legal and transparent basis.

Money raised is for the purposes of pursuing the campaign, especially to secure expert advice on planning and legal issues. No director of F4R receives any financial compensation – not even travel expenses.
